MARITIME COMPANY VACANCY FOR SHIPPING OPERATORS
Our Client, a reputable, fast growing and a leading player in the Maritime Sector of the Nigerian economy, urgently requires the services of an experienced and result-oriented person for the post indicated below.
Shipping Operators
-He reports to the Deputy Managing Director.
-Performs and deals with day to day operations in an efficient and timely manner minimizing operational costs and controlling vessel efficiency to ensure that the overall performance is in line with the Company’s expectations.
-Ensures discharge sequence is in line with IMO (International Maritime Organisation) rules and regulations, co-ordinate ship surveys and reports appropriately.
Qualification:
-Must be a Class 1 Master Mariner Certificate of Competency holder and have shore based experience in operational management position of not less than 7 years.
The Person:
-Must have good knowledge of Port and Shipping Operations, be conversant with vessels inward and outward clearance with relevant maritime agencies in Nigeria
-Must be a good team player and have good interpersonal and leadership skills.

1. National Sales Manager (Ref. A/0 1/08/11)
REQUIREMENTS:
-The ideal candidate must be between 40 and 50 years of age
- Possession of B.Sc. degree in Social Sciences coupled with higher degree in Marketing, Economics or an MBA.
-Must possess not less than 10 years cognate experience preferably in Fast Moving Consumer Good Industry , 5 of which must be in similar capacity to this position.
- He should be articulate and a seasoned administrator with excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership qualities, general management capabilities, innovativeness and confidence to relate at the highest levels in the business community.
-The challenge will be to achieve high targets in a competitive industry.
The National Sales Manager will report to the Managing Director and assist in the development and coordination of sales/marketing policies and responsible for implementation of same through effective leadership of the sales force including the following officers: Business Development Manager; Corporate Sales Manager: Area Sales Manager and five (5) Regional Sales Managers
The remuneration packages attached to this position are competitive and negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
2. Credit Control Manager-(Ref. B/02/08/11)
REQUIREMENTS:
-The ideal candidate for this position should be aged between 40 and 50 years and must possess a B.Sc. in Accounting and should be a member of a recognized professional accounting body, such as ICAN. A higher qualification would be an added advantage.
-He must equally possess not less than 10 years cognate experience in credit control department of a large, well-structured manufacturing organization Hands-on computer knowledge is pre-requisite for this job, especially Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Access, Power Point and Sage.
-His brief will include monitoring and keeping track of the accounts of the credit customers and shall be required to produce monthly ageing analysis of the customer’s accounts. He will work in collaboration with the sales team in debt recovery drive and shall be accountable to the Managing Director.
3.Transportation / Distribution Manager (Ref C/3/08/11)
REQUIREMENTS:
-The ideal candidate will be responsible for running of the company’s fleet of vehicles and be responsible for arranging and monitoring efficient distribution of the company’s products. He will also assist in the proper documentation of the dispatches and other activities in the transport division of the company.
-The ideal candidate aged between 30 and 40 years, must be computer-literate and a holder of a B.Sc. in any of the Social Sciences or Humanities and must have acquired 5 years cognate experience in the distribution of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG). Knowledge of sales administration may be of advantage.
